Triumph choppers: How can I find out if the wires have been converted to a negative ground?

use a voltage meter?

is there a battery, or magneto only? if there is a battery, you can trace which wire goes to the frame. if it comes off the negative terminal? you are golden. if it comes off the positive terminal, you know it has not.
