Was it a BSA? It stands for Birmingham Small Arms company. They produced motorcycles from the1930′s to 1970′s.

At that size, was it a Bantam?
EDIT: Could it have been Bultaco? They’re Spanish I believe, but it’s not a stretch he could have found one in Britian.

a british bike was built by a frances barnnet this was a125cc 150cc and 175cc they done a 50cc i think it was a danndy model i think hope this helps

was it british? or something like a bultaco as there were not alot of british manufacturers in 78 was it the name of the bike not the make

not a lot of bsa in 78, how do i know i was riding rusan stuf then & had been for over 8 years

The most popular of the British ‘B’ bikes were BSA and Brough.
Lawrence of Arabia was killed riding a Brough.
