Triumph Tiger Cub
yes I know it is only 200cc but parts are available

alternatively, how about an Enfield? 350 or 500, still being made in India, with a number of improvements but keeping the character

BSA Victor – a 440cc single off-roader hugely popular in the late sixties / early seventies. Great bike, but engine vibrations may loosen your fillings

BSA 440 Victor
It this time,(40-60years) later, nothing is going to be easy or common. Plentiful parts catolue? Not since 1963
Try early hondas CL-72 and CL-77

The price old British bikes now fetch I question the wisdom of taking one off road.Having said that go for one that was so designed i.e Greaves,Dot,Tiger (trials)cub at least that way they won't shake to bits over rough ground

My very first bike was a Triumph Tiger Cub and it was great fun. Parts for them are still available and it actually sounds like a real motorcycle. I have progressed a bit since owning the Tiger Cub and now ride a Honda ST1300 Pan European.

Scuse me, but why do you want a badly designed and built and horribly unreliable British bike when there were much better machines from other places like Sweden – Husquvarna, or Italy – so many, try a Laverda 250 Chott.
